   On behalf of the two and four- legged members of the Chase family-

I would like to thank Dr. Smith and the staff members at Safe Harbor for helping us through the loss of our beloved weim, Blitzen. Although he was a senior dog, his passing was a shock to our family. We were comforted in knowing that in his final days, Blitz was in the care of those who treated him as a pet of their own, providing the same love and care.
Additionally, I'd like to thank you all for sharing the joy of my folks new addition, Dasher. We look forward to watching him grow and thrive under the care of those at Safe Harbor.

Comments:     I want to thank you for the care and concern you have shown for both my sweet little dog and I. I came to you with a very sick dog that was going downhill fast and baffling everyone with her symptoms and you made her better. But that's not all! I have to say how much I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions, in detail, without getting frustrated (I know I ask a lot of questions); calling and checking on Pixie every night as she was recovering, even on the weekend; taking her home with you after surgery to make sure she had everything she needed; and having such a wonderful team working for you. Plus, I give you props for figuring out how to have an animal hospital that actually smells nice : ), is meticulously clean and has a pleasant kennel area. Even though you had a full day, and I was a last minute appointment that you fit in, you treated me like I was your only client. I am already recommending you to my friends. Your expertise, compassion and dedication shows and made a tremendous difference to our household. Thank you so very much!

Comments   Dear Dr Smith and all of the staff at Safe Harbor, This was it bit of time in coming, not for lack of appreciation, but simply for the loss of words that would convey our deep and heartfelt gratitude for all of your tender, loving, and caring expertise in handling the unfortunate accident with our beautiful and sorely missed kitty, Beau. I still can't recall without so much emotion, but even though he wasn't able to be saved and the pain of the tragic loss of such a significant part of our family is still so strong, along with that, is such an incredibly peaceful feeling of being thought of and cared for...ourselves, as well as everything you did for Beau, which went so far above and beyond what we ever would have imagined. I knew when the time came for me to say goodbye to one of my beloved pets it would be difficult, but this is just so stinking hard...WAY harder than I EVER would have imagined, BUT even so, you said something to me in those first moments of his passing that was significant to me, and is worth sharing -as it hit home to me and was exactly what I needed to hear and also what I cling to now in the days after, which are so hard for all of us. You said "animals have a purpose, just like people, who are here on this earth to learn, and some serve that purpose for just a short time, but they serve it well." And, to further that myself, when they serve that purpose, their time is up, short as it may be. Beau did just that, and I just KNOW he has a soul and he is at peace. On what would have been his first birthday next week, we will visit Sleepy Hollow as a family and remember the lovely times and try and take warmth and comfort in those memories as a memorial of our beloved Beau Jefferson. And though loss is loss, and it always seems to have a way of bringing up other loss...having Beau in our lives for the months that we did is WAY worth it. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing EVERYTHING you could for Beau with kindness, sensitivity, skill and love. You are an amazing vet. I can't wait to come and visit and volunteer again. Beau was my therapy...SSOOO unconditional, but so is spending time at Safe Harbor. I tell all of my friends about all of you guys, and consider you, and of course all of the animals, my friends. Many blessings to all of you, and a special blessing to Dr Smith. Comments :  Dear Dr. Smith, Words alone cannot convey the depth of gratitude I and my family feel towards you and your staff. Your professional and human skill, caring for our German Shepherd Lacey, over the last four years has been outstanding. When Lacey first came into our home, she had been neglected, both physically and emotionally. With your help, we were able to help her become a model of wellness and loving companionship. Last year, your skills repaired a knee injury that had crippled Lacey. As a result of the surgery, she was restored to a life of chasing squirrels and nightly walks through Ada Park without pain. This past month was difficult, as Lacey encountered ever more serious health issues. Your efforts helped her recover from her mouth infection and once again enjoy eating. Then, when no cure could be found for her urinary tract infection, you helped me with the difficult decision to put her to sleep. Thank you for rearranging your schedule and being patient with me, as I struggled to bring Lacey in for her last appointments. Thank you for coming to our home and helping Lacey to

Comments :  Just wanted to compliment you on your new and greatly improved web site! It's much more user-friendly and the pet library is a great addition. Zeus and Athena are doing great and will be in to see you soon for their annual checkups. I found it on the original web page when I went there to look at your list of animals available for adoption and found that link was removed from the old web site, and in looking around stumbled across the link to the new site. By the way, nice picture of you on the new site...who's the cute blonde you're holding?? :-)
